When an AI model helps.
The context and instructions needed for a reply go to your selected model provider. With a managed model, ToneBird forwards the request. With your own model key, it goes directly to that provider.
Understand ToneBird’s permissions, choose what it learns, and manage the data on your device.

Accessibility lets ToneBird read the current conversation and fill in replies when you trigger it. Screen Recording helps with apps such as WeChat when Accessibility cannot read their text.
For screenshot reads, ToneBird tries text recognition on your device first. If that is not enough, a vision model may receive the cropped conversation image for that read. The image is then discarded.
Turn off learning from messages you send whenever you want. ToneBird stops learning from new messages; what it has already learned stays in Memory, where you can review or remove it.
Suggested adjustments still wait for your review before you apply them to future drafts.
The separate product improvement option is for internal testing. When enabled, prompts sent through the ToneBird managed gateway, shown or sent drafts, and voice transcripts are uploaded encrypted and automatically deleted after 30 days.
Your saved tone profile, person notes, learned corrections, and usage counts stay on your device. In Settings → Privacy & Data, you can export your local data, delete it, or clear temporary files.
Deleting local data and clearing the cache do different things. Choose Delete My Data to remove your local history and memory. Choose Clear Local Cache to remove temporary files while keeping them.

Diagnostics stay on your device unless you submit a feedback report. You can preview and remove optional conversation excerpts, replies, or screenshots before you send it.
ToneBird does not train foundation models on your conversations. Each model provider processes requests under its own policy.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for behavioral advertising across contexts.
Insert puts a draft in your reply box. You review it and use your app’s send button. ToneBird never sends on your behalf.
Your tone profile, person cards, learned corrections, and usage counts are stored on your device.
Generating a reply may still send the context it needs to an external model. Local storage does not mean all processing happens on your device.
